Trébol Restaurant is an iconic seafood establishment located in the port of Cales Fonts, in Es Castell, Menorca. Founded in 1969, it has become a gastronomic landmark on the island, renowned primarily for its fish dishes, rice specialties, and the classic Menorcan lobster.

Culinary Specialties

Trébol’s menu offers a wide range of traditional Menorcan and Mediterranean dishes. Some of their signature offerings include:

  • Menorcan Lobster: available fried, grilled, baked, or in a seafood stew.
  •  Grilled Fish Platters: a selection of fresh daily catches such as monkfish, sea bass, corvina, hake, swordfish, gilthead bream, and turbot.
  • Sea Nettles: a local delicacy rarely found elsewhere.
  • Brothy rice dishes and seafood paellas.

The restaurant also has an excellent wine list, many of which are produced in Menorcan wineries.

How to get there

Situated at Moll de Cales Fonts, 43, the restaurant provides a unique dining experience overlooking the sea and the entrance to Mahón harbor. It has a terrace just steps from the water, ensuring stunning views. The interior, partly carved into the rock, creates a warm and rustic ambiance.

  • Hours: Open Tuesday to Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays. It’s advisable to check hours during the summer season.
